Club membership: transfers max 8 per year to be booked monthly in advance subject to availability. Late cancellations: We operate a No Refund Policy. That applies to Single Bookings and Block Bookings (although you only lose what you don't attend, not the entire block, unless you don't attend any of it or we can't transfer the block). New Clients: All new clients are expected to attend an assessment lesson at the Chestnuts & will be required to complete a rider registration form before they may ride at the Chestnuts. An assessment lesson enables us to determine which horse/pony is best suited to your ability. We reserve the right to refuse you to ride a particular horse/pony if we feel that your ability is in question for safety reasons only. Existing Clients: All existing clients who have not filled out a Rider Registration form are expected to do so, they are available in the Indoor School, Office and from a Member of Staff on request. We reserve the right to refuse you to ride a particular horse/pony if we feel that your ability is in question for safety reasons only. Instructors: Instructors reserve the right to refuse to teach a client for any reason. Clients: You reserve the right to change to another horse/ pony, providing it is practical and safe to do so. You also have the right to request another Instructor subject to availability. Payment: All lessons/hacks/pony rides/horse rides/pony days are payable in advance. It is a condition of booking that you accept our No Refund Policy, it is totally at our discretion whether a refund is applicable. If you fail to turn up you will be required to pay in full, if you leave us plenty of time to change a booking it may be possible to transfer you to another spot, this is subject to availability. Discounted prices only apply to Club Members (attending a Weekly Club ride) who pay monthly in advance. Club members receive a special discount off further bookings during that monthly period. Standard Prices: These are our normal prices for Adults, Children and Students, you will be expected to pay the full sum unless you are entitled to one of our discount schemes. Weekly Club Prices: You are entitled to this Discounted rate if you have a monthly in advance booking , minimum of 1 per week including: * Private Lessons * Semi Private Lessons * Group lessons * Jumping Lessons * Hacking * Pony for the Day If you have a recurring spot, all additional appointments will be charged at CLUB PLUS rate. You may phone and book a lesson/hack/pony ride on the day subject to availability, although Standard Prices will apply. P.P.E (Personal Protective Equipment): Every time you handle a horse you are required to wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment. While riding you must wear suitable boots (info below) and a Riding Hat. We strongly advise all clients wear a body protector. Hats (all types): Should be PAS015 or BSEN138 standard. We provide a hat for the first 10 lessons Free of Charge. If you wish to continue riding and using our hats, you will be charged £2.00 per session. However, we would recommend you purchase your own safety hat, as they are quite possibly the most important item of equipment you wear while riding. Boots/Footwear: We don't supply footwear to customers, we recommend either Full Length Riding Boots, or Ankle Boots. You must wear suitable footwear, Trainers, High Heels, Sandals are not permitted. Jewellery: You should not wear Jewellery of any kind, anything you wear you do so at your own risk. Arrival Times: Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the lesson/ hack /pony ride to allow time for hat fitting. If you are late, we unfortunately cannot make that time up as other clients will be waiting for their lessons to start on time. If we are late for whatever reason we will make up your lesson/hack time. Children: Must be supervised at all times by a responsible person. Young Children: Must be supervised at all times by a responsible person and remain seated and quiet whilst lessons are in progress and not to run around the gallery. Parents are advised not to leave your children unattended at any time during their stay at the Chestnuts. Movement of horses & ponies and farm equipment around the yard and surrounding areas is unavoidable and we ask you to give way to them at all times. Stable Yard: The stable yard is strictly out of bounds, we have No-Go Zones painted and sign posted clearly, you must not enter them and you do so at your own risk. Warning Signs: We have many different warning signs all over the grounds, they are there for a reason, you must obey them. We reserve the right to ask you to leave the grounds at any time if we think you are a danger to yourself. Smoking Policy: We have a Strict No Smoking Policy, if you are caught you will be asked to leave. Pets: We don't allow any clients to bring their own pets onto the grounds/premises. Horses/Ponies: All animals are unpredictable, Do Not Feed the Horses & Ponies at any time. Don't enter any field, box or make contact with a Horse or Pony at any time, without prior authorisation from a member of Management. Cars, Bicycles: We can't be held responsible for any damage to your transportation while on the premises/grounds. Personal Property: We can't be held responsible for Damage, Theft or Loss of your personal property while it's on the grounds premises. Bad Weather (Indoor School): We don't currently offer refunds for any activity in the Indoor School. Although if it has snowed heavily preventing travel to the school, we will provide Credit or a Transfer to a day when the weather is better. Although this is at our discretion. Bad Weather (Hacks and Pony Rides): We don't offer refunds for any Hack or Pony ride. Although if it's raining Heavily, Snowing or extremely Windy, we may credit or transfer your booking for another time. Once again this is at our discretion. OTHER: Please note: Clients leaving the Chestnuts by car must give way to incoming (southbound) traffic or safety reasons. Parking is not permitted at the bottom of the drive or on the sliproad/way. The drive is not a footpath and walkers are advised to take extreme care due to the uneven surface. Walking along the drive is entirely at your own risk. Maximum Speed on the grounds/site/premises is 5mph. RIDING IS A RISK SPORT - Your choice to ride is voluntary. We take all reasonable care to provide suitable and safe horses and ponies for all our clients. All animals can be Unpredictable. We strongly advise you to take out full personal accident cover. PLEASE NOTE: The Chestnuts Riding School, Owners, Staff and Managing agents cannot be held responsible for any accident, injury or loss to any persons or their property whilst on these premises or whilst out hacking, eventing or showing.
